I wasn't the type of person who thought I could save anyone or even wanted to. Sometimes i still don't want to.
I grew up without ever developing the concept of what parents were; you know, the whole 'parents love each other and you, they won't ever harm you or allow anyone else to harm you'. Lacking that, you can imagine what I was like as a child and why.
I was raised by a woman named Melissa. I love her very much. She's currently out of reach for me, but that's okay. I'm not a kid anymore. Besides, the love of my life is always in reach. And I think that's really all I need.
The-black- tie taught me that I could still make a difference and save people. I could enjoy the little things in life without stealing someone else's happiness.
Now, I certainly hope to make a difference in someone's life, even if by coincidence.
